A send-off reception for USNA Midshipmen & The Basic School Marines pending assignment to Japan

On April 16, 2018, the Defense Attaché office of the Embassy of Japan hosted a reception at the Japanese Ambassador’s Residence in Washington, D.C. to send off 36 US Naval Academy Midshipmen and 24 The Basic School Marines who are being posted to Japan. The Midshipmen are headed to Yokosuka and Sasebo and The Basic School Marines will be stationed at Okinawa and Iwakuni. JUMP attended the event to wish the new service members the best as they begin their careers.
