On March 3, 2016 JUMP (the Japan-U.S. Military Program) in collaboration with Sasakawa USA hosted its first annual JUMP dinner at The Army and Navy Club on Farragut Square.
The theme for the dinner was the future of the U.S.-Japan Alliance, featuring speakers General Robert Neller, Commandant of the Marine Corps, and Admiral Dennis Blair, former Director of National Intelligence and Commander of Pacific Command.
JUMP seeks to bring together American service members, government employees, and their families who have served in Japan and would like to remain in contact with the Japanese culture, language, and people, as well as stay informed about the U.S.-Japan Alliance. It is a collaboration between Sasakawa USA, the National Association of Japan America Societies (NAJAS) and the Embassy of Japan in Washington, DC.
