The 2nd annual U.S. Navy service members reunion was March 1

March 1, 2018 , 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Active and retired U.S. Navy service members and civilians who have been stationed in Japan were invited to reunite at a March 1 event hosted at the Washington Navy Yard.

The event, hosted by the Defense Attaché office of the Embassy of Japan in the United States, was held Thursday, March 1st from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Catering and Conference Center at the Navy Yard. Guests were welcomed with a reception and a standing buffet-style dinner with sushi and Japanese whiskey. Distinguished guests shared memories from their time serving in Japan, and the Japan-U.S. Military Program (JUMP) also gave a brief presentation. JUMP connects past and present service members, families, and government civilians who have served in Japan, helping them to stay engaged with the U.S.-Japan alliance.
